Job Description

You will work with the lead scientist at Daisy Intelligence and act as  a valued member of the Research & Development team. You will be conducting applied research in the areas of parallel computing, optimization, biomimicry, statistics, machine learning, reinforcement learning, visualization and numerical methods.

Daisy Intelligence solutions involve modeling vast volumes of our clients' data, which requires leading edge computing and machine learning methods.  You will be part of creating the future of analytics and will have the opportunity to author and co-author patents for successful research initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Parallelization of existing Daisy artificial intelligence software
  • Software solution design, programming development and testing
  • Documenting and co-authoring internal technical specifications,  and patents
  • Commercialization of successful applied research into software products that will be used by Daisy Intelligence delivery teams to service clients in the Retail, Insurance 

Technical Skills

  • You possess a Master’s degree  in a quantitative discipline, with a minimum three years experience
  • You have strong programming skills with a minimum of 1000 hours experience developing in C
  • Experience using CUDA  in a GPU development environment is an asset
  • You have a working knowledge of database technologies with very strong SQL skills or ability to manipulate and analyze very large volumes of data
  • Strong mathematical skills with knowledge/interest in machine learning, artificial intelligence, advanced statistics, parallel computing and operations research
  • Knowledge of or interest in data visualization methods and technologies
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
